Post doctoral research

Our group is is seeking initiative and motivated scientists to join our team as postdoctoral researches. You will develop a novel technique, the momentum microscope, and take part in solving of challenging scientific tasks.

  1. Time-resolved inelastic scattering with transmission time-of-flight momentum microscopy (PostDoc)
  2. Time-, spin- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (TRS-ARPES) (PostDoc)
  3. Operando angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) (Postdoc)

Your profile

  • A PhD degree in experimental physics or materials science.
  • Strong background in ultrahigh vacuum, surface science, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) or alternatively strong background in laser technologies, predominantly in setting up high harmonic generation and/or pump-probe experiments.
  • Possess strong computer skills for data analysis and experimental control.
  • Experience of measurements at synchrotron facilities is welcome.
  • Communicate effectively and thrive in a collaborative research environment.
  • Proficiency in English scientific writing, including but not limited to the preparation of scientific journal articles and research proposals.

We offer

  • Access to leading research groups in the emergent field of electronically corelated materials and spectroscopy.
  • Competitive salary package aligned with your qualifications and experience.
  • Access to cutting-edge synchrotron facilities and resources at the Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main.
  • Opportunities for professional growth, networking, and international collaboration.
